This March, I’m taking on the challenge of swimming 10km to raise money for youth suicide prevention. This cause is deeply personal to me—I have lost two close friends to suicide, and as a teacher, I’ve witnessed firsthand the heartbreaking impact of mental health struggles on young people.
In the past I’ve dedicated time to supporting others through Lifeline and mentoring the young people I work with, but this year, I want to give back in a new way—by diving in and swimming countless laps for a cause that matters.
