SWIM FOR YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH NEXT MARCH
Get in the water next March, and swim to support young people in Australia living with mental health difficulties.
More than 1 in 3 people aged 14–25 live with mental health difficulties. Many of them don’t seek help. And, suicide remains the leading cause of death of young people in Australia – more young people in Australia die each year by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.
That means that every day more than one young person in Australia takes their own life. That’s one too many.
Next March, set yourself a challenge – whether you’re just starting out, or aiming for a personal best (or even a squad goal) and join Laps for Life. You can take part from anywhere across Australia, in the pool or in the ocean at any age or fitness level.
