I'm swimming to save lives

I think one of the hardest things about getting older is counting the amount of friends and loved ones that have passed away. 

Did you know suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia?

That means that each year more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.

This March, I'm swimming to make sure young people in Australia have the mental health support they urgently need.

By sponsoring my challenge, you’ll be helping to prevent youth suicide.

All funds raised will help young people feel better about today and the future, no matter what challenge they're facing.

First Target Met

Thank you so much to all the people who have donated so far, within a few hours we have met our donation goal. 

400 dollars means we raised enough money to support 100 young people via Reach Out. This is so amazing. 

With waitlists for bulk billing psychologists taking months and considering there has been cuts to the NDIS, as well as the news that over 200 psychiatrists are leaving the public health sector in NSW, these NFP first line support services are becoming increasingly vital. 

As promised via social media, I will increase my fundraising goal and then, the target swim distance once I've hit 10kms.
