Swim 8 - regional

dug deep today to stay positive and not overthink my races and ability too much. 3 x 50m races and 1 x 50 warm ups. PB's on all 3 races 🎉

Swim 7

took some time out from school today to get in a light training, confidence boosting session today. 10 x 25m laps for life concentrating on technique over speed and remembering I CAN. Tomorrow is NC regional swimming and fingers crossed today's positivity stick around for tomorrow 🙌🏊🫶

Swim 6

only managed 6 x 50m laps today. with regional just 3 days away I was overthinking the tips n tricks I've been told by coaches and couldn't think straight. hoping my next training session has me feeling more positive.

Swim 5

working on technique today and got some great advice from some lovely seasoned swimmers.

Swim 4

big swim today with a swim coach overlooking my technique. training for regional as well as getting my Laps for Life done 💪🫶🏊

Swim 3

now that the weather has cleared up and the local pools back open after TC Alfred, I'm back swimming. today's 20 laps were tough, I want to stop after 11 and 16 but pushed on 💪🏊

2nd swim

swam 20 x 25m laps today and once finished it pelted with rain. feeling good and more confident with my diving.

Day 1

I am an AWD participant and after zone carnival yesterday I was mentally exhausted and was going to rest today but decided it's better to start my Laps for Life and find my confidence with diving and freestyle again as I had huge anxiety and a panic attack mid freestyle race. I feel great after today's swim 💪🫶🏊

We’re swimming to save lives

Did you know suicide is the leading cause of death for young people in Australia?

That means that each year more young people die by suicide than in car accidents or from cancer.

This March, we’re swimming to make sure young people in Australia have the mental health support they urgently need.

By sponsoring our challenge, you’ll be helping to prevent youth suicide.

All funds raised will help young people feel better about today and the future, no matter what challenge they're facing.

Our Impact

So far this year we helped provide...

200

Young people with vital mental health support.
